On the first official day of the International Leadership & Business Internship, our interns embarked on an enlightening presentation by Gerald Gangaram, a distinguished retired US Army Major. His address delved into the pivotal traits of successful business leaders, setting a motivational tone for the day ahead. Inspired and driven, our interns eagerly dove into their first business partner calls with counterparts in Nigeria. These calls not only broadened their understanding of global economics but also provided invaluable insights into Nigeria’s unique economic landscape.
Armed with this newfound knowledge, our interns returned to their projects with renewed confidence and a clear vision, ready to make substantial contributions to their respective business proposals.
Back on campus, Carla Brooks, Senior Business Development Manager at Nickol Global Solutions, delivered an engaging session on marketing and branding. Energized by Carla’s insights, the interns met and collaborated with the Business Mentors to discuss their business proposal presentation, receiving valuable guidance and feedback.
As evening approached, our interns embarked on a Georgetown Exploration, exploring Washington, D.C.’s bustling streets and iconic landmarks. Amidst historic architecture and vibrant locales, they absorbed the city’s rich history and diverse charm.
The day concluded with a profound sense of accomplishment and anticipation for the transformative experiences yet to unfold in their internship journey.
