Security Insights and Mentorship Beginnings

On the first day of the National Security & Intelligence began with a series of insightful engagements aimed at preparing the interns for the challenging yet rewarding journey ahead. Their day began with a pivotal security company call depending on who they are working with, either Borno State University or RAMAT Polytechnic. This call provided the interns a chance to dive deep into the unique security concerns and needs of these institutions. It was a crucial initial step towards understanding the landscape in which their project proposals will take shape. They gained valuable insights that will develop their security proposals, covering a wide array of topics essential for enhancing safety and resilience within each university.

Following the security company calls, the interns had their first introductory mentor meetings with professionals in the field. These introductions were instrumental in establishing connections with experienced professionals who will guide them through the process of producing their final projects. The mentor sessions not only provided the interns with advice but also served as a platform to brainstorm ideas and refine their project goals.

As the interns end their first full day of the internship, they reflect on the day’s activities and insights gained. Interns are eager about the opportunities that lie ahead in contributing meaningfully to enhancing security measures within educational institutions.
